The award recognizes the company for being a strategic long-term partner for FMI.

ME Elecmetal is proud to announce that it has been recognized by Freeport-McMoRan Inc (FMI) with the "Long-Term Strategic Partner" award, which is given every four years at MINExpo, mining exhibition in which ME Elecmetal is also an exhibitor.

Rolando Medeiros, CEO of ME Elecmetal, received the award from Craig Ammar, Global General Manager of Maintenance and Monica Ogas, Global Supply Chain Manager, both senior executives of FMI.

Richard Adkerson, President and CEO of FMI, sent a gratitude message saying “Your long-time support of Freeport-McMoRan has been a cornerstone of our success. Most recently, your highly motivated team has partnered with us as we weather the difficult cycle that brought copper prices to near six-year lows. Thanks to this team effort, both our companies have worked to reduce costs, gain efficiencies and remain competitive. I am confident in the long-term future of commodities and our industry. We look forward to further strenghthening our partnership and moving ahead together”.

Meanwhile, Rolando Medeiros, CEO of ME Elecmetal, accepted and appreciated the recognition on behalf of all members of the company who work every day to continue supporting the mining industry worldwide.
