ME Elecmetal recently donated critically needed, essential personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare workers through the Essentia Health Foundation. The donation included masks, face shields and Tyvek suits.

"As an essential service provider ourselves, ME Elecmetal understands what it means to have employees on the job every day, and our responsibility to take care our of people and our communities," said Scott Schudalla, Vice President of Manufacturing for ME Elecmetal. "We require employees to wear medical-grade PPE in certain areas of our operations to meet OSHA regulations. The leadership team took a hard look at our ability to operate as an essential business, specifically with regards to medical-grade PPE. Meeting existing aggressive OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits, and retaining the PPE to do so, versus supporting the local community amid a global pandemic was a very measured decision. In the end, our leadership team felt compelled to make this donation because it was simply and absolutely the right thing to do. Considering the sacrifice and efforts of our healthcare providers, working in the front lines of this fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, our donation is just a small thing, but we are glad we could help."
