ME Elecmetal, a global company providing mining solutions, headquartered in Chile, has today formalized the acquisition of one of Africa’s most important foundries: Prima Foundry in Gauteng, South Africa. This is a significant milestone for ME Elecmetal, which has a 107-year history in the mining industry, with sales in more than 40 countries.
The decision to acquire Prima Foundry, a family-owned company specialized in the production of engineering parts for the mining industry, is part of the company’s overall vision to expand ME Elecmetal’s capacity to provide comprehensive solutions to mining operations worldwide.
The integration of Prima Foundry into ME Elecmetal’s global operations is a strategic milestone for the company and a significant vote of confidence in the management and staff of Prima Foundry, as well as in the broader investment in South Africa. The agreement is a supreme achievement of the Price family and the generations of staff who have made Prima Foundry a success for more than 87 years.
