Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role in the company?

I am Patrick Frazier, Director of Organizational Development in the Human Resources area at ME Elecmetal North America. I joined ME Elecmetal in 2017 at the Tempe Foundry. Since then, my role has evolved and today it encompasses supporting and developing our entire workforce in North America, as well as collaborating on global projects. My main mission is to ensure that teams have the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary to grow, develop, and give their best in a safe and motivating environment.

What brought you to ME Elecmetal?

I was born in a small manufacturing town in Illinois, United States, where life revolved around the local steel mill. Although I was too young to work there, I grew up seeing how my family’s sense of community was forged in that place. That experience deeply marked me and inspired me to always seek organizations with purpose.

When I discovered ME Elecmetal, I was attracted by the possibility of being part of a global company with real and tangible impact, but that at the same time allowed me to be close to people and support them in their daily lives. Here I found a space where industry and human development intertwine.

How would you describe the culture at ME Elecmetal?

At ME Elecmetal, people are not treated as numbers. The organization promotes respect for the dignity and individuality of each employee. From day one, I received trust and empowerment: I was invited to participate in decision-making processes and to propose improvements that impacted the employee experience. That openness reflects the close-knit culture that characterizes the company.

Additionally, I highlight the strong global spirit. Through initiatives like the Outstanding Employees program, I have been able to connect teams from North America, South America, China, and South Africa. These experiences showed me that although we come from different cultures, we share the same purpose: to have healthy work environments and deliver quality, sustainable solutions for mining.

Benefits and Personal Life

One of the most significant benefits is the culture of work-life balance. As a father of two children, I have always felt the organization’s support to be present in important moments with my family. That flexibility is not found in every company and here it makes a big difference. The trust we receive translates into greater commitment: when you know your personal time is respected, you give your best at work.

Can you share a memorable experience or achievement in your work here?

I have been fortunate to accompany talent development processes that have transformed careers. I especially remember cases where employees have taken on new responsibilities in a short time, thanks to intentional development plans and the support of their leaders. Seeing someone grow and reach new goals is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

I also deeply value my participation in the Outstanding program, which not only allowed me to meet colleagues from different regions but also to drive joint projects that today benefit the entire organization. These initiatives reinforce the pride of belonging and remind us that ME Elecmetal’s talent is truly global.

ME Elecmetal brings together the best of two worlds: the strength of a large company with a global presence and the closeness of an organization that maintains human relationships based on respect and integrity.

How does your team contribute to solving challenges in mining?

Our impact is essential: we ensure that employees have the most up-to-date training, resources, and knowledge to perform their duties safely, efficiently, and innovatively.

At ME Elecmetal we are constantly reviewing and updating processes, designing training programs, and delivering tools that prepare people to face the challenges of a global industry in constant transformation. For me, the value lies in serving and supporting those who truly make the company’s excellence possible. That vocation of service is what gives meaning to my work every day.

What stands out to you about the coming years at ME Elecmetal?

ME Elecmetal brings together the best of two worlds: the strength of a large company with a global presence and the closeness of an organization that maintains human relationships based on respect and integrity. What motivates me most is seeing how the company drives global initiatives, fosters collaboration between cultures, and always keeps respect for people’s dignity as a central principle. For me, that value is not a slogan written on a wall, but a real guide for the decisions we make.
I envision myself working even more on international projects, connecting teams from different regions, and sharing best practices. I am convinced that ME Elecmetal’s future lies in leveraging its global talent and maintaining its employees as the strongest and most differentiating asset. That challenge excites me because I know that by working together we can continue growing and delivering sustainable value to the mining industry worldwide.
