With a strategy focused on implementing key initiatives for the 2024-2025 period and fully aligned with customer needs, ME Elecmetal concludes this, its first year of the sustainability cycle, to begin the new year by establishing all practices aimed at meeting commitments by 2030. The action plan seeks to strengthen the company's commitment to its sustainability pillars, covering areas such as the environment, the supply chain, and social investment.
During 2024, the Company focused its efforts on implementing initiatives aimed at establishing permanent monitoring of environmental, social, and governance indicators that are periodically reported to customers. This approach has allowed the articulation of this complete sustainability cycle, establishing an action plan that guides all company activities towards clear and measurable objectives, globally.
For 2025, it is expected to add three focuses to the work already done: supply chain, communities, and sustainability goals for 2030.

During 2025, ME Elecmetal aims to continue the sustainability plan with a broader focus.
- Supply chain: The first step will be supplier categorization. To this end, and in collaboration with the Elecmetal group sustainability committee—which includes Cristalerías Chile and Santa Rita—work is underway to define supplier categories such as critical, strategic, local, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This classification will enable efficient management of relationships with suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Community relations: Strengthening ties with communities near the production plants located in Rancagua, Temple, Duluth, and Changzhou, in an initial phase. For this, assessments will be conducted to evaluate positive and negative impacts, establishing mitigation plans and actions to add value. Additionally, areas of influence will be defined, mitigation controls implemented, and a map of key stakeholders in each area developed.
Along the same lines, ME Elecmetal is analyzing its social investment to date to generate a more significant impact. The goal is to align these investments with areas where the company can contribute the most value and generate sustainable social transformations.
- Environmental goals and reporting: The 2025 plan includes specific targets for decarbonization and traceability of metallic raw materials for 2030 at owned plants. The implementation of the reporting plan includes:
- Corporate sustainability presentation to customers.
- Biannual sustainability report.
- Double materiality analysis.
- Preparation of the integrated annual report.
