Starting in 2023, all companies supervised by the Financial Market Commission are required to report their results under General Standard 461.
General Standard 461 incorporates sustainability and corporate governance topics into the annual report companies submit, thereby raising the standard for reporting by not only addressing financial matters but also integrating elements such as governance, risks, stakeholder engagement, and environmental or ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors.
With this standard, the report provides investors and the general public with the necessary information on ESG matters. This way, stakeholders have data to evaluate and select financial instruments and/or investment alternatives where their interests would be best protected, distinguishing companies that are better prepared to identify, quantify, and manage risks.
A reporting process for the Integrated Report that progresses step by step
Starting this year, ME Elecmetal began this new reporting format, which over time we hope will provide visibility to the actions carried out around sustainability
“We started 2023 with a first version of the basic integrated report and we expect to deepen over time the new topics that have been integrated, associated with ESG issues”
