ME Elecmetal recognizes the challenge of communicating the progress of its sustainability path in a clear, consistent, and cross-cutting way, in a context of increasing expectations from customers, investors, communities, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The Company not only publishes annual and regulated information but also seeks to ensure that its teams — and as many people as possible globally — understand the strategic value of the 2025 Sustainability Report as a tool for management, transparency, and decision-making.The Report provides a more comprehensive view of the Elecmetal Group’s metallurgical business management, complementing the information submitted to the regulator through the Annual Report.
For this reason, this year, for the first time, ME Elecmetal held global meetings. The challenge was especially relevant considering the broad geographic scope of the regions where the Company operates, with diverse productive, cultural, and regulatory realities, as well as different time zones.
The initiative needed to align the communication of a common message across South America, North America, China and Asia-Pacific (APAC), and South Africa and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), around a shared narrative: a global company advancing in sustainability with a focus on the pillars of its strategy — The ME Elecmetal Signature, Our People, The Environment, and Value Creation Connections — while also demonstrating real and concrete progress.
ME Elecmetal addressed this need through a global digital dialogue of the 2025 Sustainability Report, held in four sessions between May 27 and 28, 2026. These brought together teams from South America, North America, China and APAC, and South Africa and EMEA, reaching more than 350 connections in this first edition.
The event was led by Constanza Echeverría, Global Sustainability Director(GSD) at ME Elecmetal , and included the participation of Eugenio Arteaga, CEO of ME Elecmetal, together with the general managers of each region. The format made it possible to combine a global corporate perspective with regional insights, highlighting specific progress, local challenges, and shared priorities.
The sessions explained why reporting matters, how the report is structured, what its main results are, and which challenges will shape the Company’s next sustainability cycle.
The next steps include:

This model makes it possible to transform the report into an active management tool, capable of connecting indicators, corporate storytelling, regional results, and future challenges.
The global meetings, segmented by region, makes it possible to:
1. Strengthen the sustainability culture globally, ensuring that teams understand that reporting is not only about complying with a standard, but also about improving management, organizing information, identifying gaps, making opportunities visible, and, above all, building culture.
2. Consolidate a shared narrative for stakeholders. The report becomes a solid foundation for communicating progress in areas such as decarbonization, circularity, safety, diversity, innovation, supply chain, and community relationships.
3. Strengthen internal governance, facilitating coordination across regions and preparing the organization to move into a second cycle of sustainable management with greater maturity, standardization, and focus on results.
Key milestones highlighted in the report include the increase in reported indicators, with 26 additional indicators — representing 30% more coverage in 2025 — the identification of six material topics based on ESG risks, opportunities, and impacts; the integration of Peru, South Africa, and Indonesia into ME Elecmetal’s global footprint; and progress toward the Company’s decarbonization goals for 2030 and full circularity by 2050.

The different sessions for the 2025 Sustainability Report brought together more than 350 connections across four regional sessions held between May 27 and 28. The activity received very positive feedback from executives and helped establish a global conversation on ME Elecmetal’s sustainability progress and challenges. It activated a global dialogue about the Company’s way of creating value, consolidated learnings from the first cycle of sustainable management, and opened a new stage to continue moving toward a more innovative, safe, circular, and sustainable mining industry.
Among the indicators and results presented, the following were highlighted:
The strengthening of Sustainability Governance, which enables the global, regional, and local deployment of the strategy, closing the First Sustainability Management Cycle by the end of 2025.
The goals of reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity by 45% and absolute emissions from the same scopes by 25% by 2030. Progress toward full circularity by 2050 was also highlighted, supported by energy efficiency, increased use of renewable energy, and technological innovation.
A global workforce of 2,045 people, representing more than 30 nationalities, reflecting the Company’s multicultural character. The increase in female participation, the creation of the Women’s Committee at ME Elecmetal South America, its purpose, and the ongoing commitment to health and safety under the Zero Harm goal were also highlighted.
The report presented 86 successful Value Added Engineering Services, more than 2,000 suppliers globally, and externally recognized progress in innovation, including first place in the Industrial category of the Most Innovative Companies Chile 2025 ranking and the “Committed to Sustainability” recognition from EcoVadis.
At the regional level, ME Elecmetal South America stood out for the recognition of CO2Lite for its contribution to reducing the carbon footprint in mining, as well as progress at the Rancagua Plant in circularity and Clean Production Agreement certification. Additional recognitions included the awards for Best Supplier by Phibrand; and the InnovaClaro Award. China highlighted the Green Plant certification of the Changzhou plant, while South Africa emphasized its integration into the global footprint and its first delivery of information across all pillars of the sustainability strategy.
